Ajoy Khandheria : Director

Ajoy has over 20 years of experience in building telecommunications, geospatial and content businesses. Ajoy founded ConvergeLabs and was its CEO; Ajoy has played a key role in building successful global businesses for large corporations such as Harris Corporation, ItalCable and other small and medium businesses. As a General Partner in Global Asia Partners, Ajoy has invested in several successful companies. Leaning on its philosophy of ecosystem for Telecom companies, Global Asia Partners have recently invested in clutch of technology companies like 6D Telecom, Mobifusion, Infotrack Solutions and Novitaz.

He has also been an advisor to several large corporations such as Maxis, UT Starcom, Hughes Software Systems, & IPUnity.

Currently Ajoy Khandheria is a chief mentor in a geospatial firm, Albireo Telematics, and he has been instrumental in spearheading the company operations and providing a strategic direction leading to a phenomenal turnaround in the financial performance. Prior to Albireo, Ajoy was the CEO & Managing Director of ORG Informatics Pvt. Ltd.

Ajoy has a MBA degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an Electrical Engineering degree from M.S. University, Baroda, India.

John Cornell : Principal, Finance

Mr. Cornell provides financial leadership for the Fund. Mr. Cornell was most recently Chief Financial Officer and an early member of ConvergeLabs Corporation with over 20 years of financial management experience. Prior to ConvergeLabs he led the accounting functions for a closely held newspaper and television broadcast company. Prior to that he was Director of Business Development for Harris Corporation’s Digital Telephone Systems Division and was instrumental in establishing joint ventures in the People’s Republic of China and India. Mr. Cornell also headed the worldwide accounting function for Harris’ Broadcast Products Division including the completion of acquisitions in the U.S. and the U.K. He joined Harris in their Corporate Treasury department. Prior to joining Harris John worked in Corporate Treasury for Texas Gas Corporation and he began his career in public accounting, passing his CPA exam in 1982.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Sahasranamam Subramanian (Subu) : Advisor, Technology

He was the Chief Technology Officer of ConvergeLabs Corporation and led that company's efforts to produce its MaxG product allowing 3G type services over existing GSM networks and handsets. Prior to ConvergeLabs, Mr. Subramanian was head of the Telecom Competency Center for Cognizant Technology Solutions, India. Prior to his involvement with the Telecom Competency Center, he was with IBM T.J. Watson Labs. Subu is the Vice-Chair with IPTC, Regional Secretary for IEEE ACM transactions (Asia Chapter) and a former advisor to the Board of Directors of Innova Telekom and Ostrech Telekom. He is also former Vice-Chair of 3G SPAN WG3, an IEEE Elected Fellow for 1999, and a Fellow Scientist for the Hypercube Project at CMU.

Subu holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kobenhavn Universitat and a MS in Operations Research and MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
